After a great start in the GC Gophers ran into injury problems and  they ended their season with 2 losses which dropped them to a 3rd place finish.
For the team this is considered a very successful year, being that it is their first year at the AAA level. They had some great stories during the year and also a few major setbacks.
Riley Francey continued to lead all quarterbacks with 1202 yards passing.   Read more …

ECAC Hockey has announced its weekly award winners in men’s hockey and three Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athletes have been recognized. Riley Bourbonnais, Jason Kasdorf and Evan Tironese were named Player, Goaltender and Rookie of the Week, respective, after helping the Engineers to a 1-1 week, including a victory over previously first-ranked Boston College on Sunday.   Read more …

TROY, N.Y. – Junior Riley Bourbonnais scored two goals and senior Jason Kasdorf made 36 saves to lead the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men’s hockey team to a 2-1 victory over first-ranked Boston College, at the Houston Field House on Sunday. Balmoral Hall’s, Ryleigh Houston lead the way to the first win of the weekend tournament as the Blazers from Winnipeg defeated the Boston Shamrocks 6 to 4. Houston scored a hat-trick in the opening game and Corrine Schroeder made 43 saves as the Blazers were outshot 47 to 27 but came away with the victory.   Read more …

Riley Francey’s Gophers of Garden City had a slow start in their game against longtime rival Kelvin on this windy Friday night.  Kelvin scored early and it took the Black and Gold a quarter of football to get going after last week’s tough loss to Sisler.  The Gophers kept on digging and scratching and by the end of the second quarter the game was tied at 10-10.
